POSTER
For more than 100 years, the MOSSANT brand has produced a large number of posters in the promotion process. These posters vividly record the mentality of the brand’s development and become a concrete manifestation of the brand’s history and culture.
Here we have a special introduction to the following classic poster:
The hat on the MOSSANT advertisement is the work of the Italian painter Leonardo Cappiello (1875-1942), known as the “father of modern posters”. At present, the advertisement poster has become a very modern collection. Treasures of value. Self-taught painting, Capiello grew from a caricaturist to a representative European painter of the early 20th century. Over the past 40 years, he has created more than 1,000 posters in bright colors that impress people, combined with products, beverages, ballet, sightseeing, etc. Capiello’s painting techniques, who led the Art Nouveau movement, play an important role even in modern advertising.
SCULPTURE《LE FEMME DU CHAPEAU》
If we come to the birthplace of MOSSANT, the small town of Bourg-de-Péage. In front of the famous ESPACE FRANÇOIS-MITTERRAND gate, we will see a famous sculpture called “The Woman in the Hat”. This hat-wearing lady is known for her arched curves, which give her a certain elegance. The woman appears to be wearing a dress with her arms crossed. The hat was not part of the original plans for the sculpture, it was ordered by the town of Bourg-de-Péage, one of its representatives found it in the artist’s studio. Toros has designed new elements that pay homage to the millinery company Mossant and the town’s industrial past as the former capital of the hat industry. The statue was unveiled by Raymond Forni, then president of the French National Assembly, who told Toros: “This is how we build France with all nations”. Made of relief copper, the statue embodies several key features of Toros’ work: the refined and fluid form transforms the material into a female figure.
